When you go around the metro, you will find locales complaining that their electric bills have skyrocketed off the roof. While this is true, this should not make you cross out Panama from your list of prospective retirement places.
For one, the cost of electricity here in Panama is way cheaper than that in the United States. As an illustration, the electric bill United States of the author of the linked articles is $150-$300 while when he transferred to Panama, it was as cheap as $35.
