Sadly, Panamanian health coverage is still not that fully developed. So private hospitals are the way to go. However, they won't treat you if you cannot show that you have the capacity to pay. But what if you cannot pull out a large sum of money is so little time?
The answer is a health insurance! Yes, this is the thing you should have here in Panama. Without it, you are doomed.
