Tower Regulation, Tower Sharing in Panama's Telecoms

Autoridad de Servicios Publicos (ASEP) has issued a directive to tower owners of telecommunication companies share their vital infrastructure with other operator to lessen the number of towers being installed throughout the country (Panama).

There are currently two major mobile operators in Panama with over 2.7 million subscribers with a penetration level of about 83 percent. Two other operators, America Moviles and Digicel was given the license to operate in Panama so there will be more plans on building more tower in the future.
